The Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin has a long history: it held its first concerts even as early as in 1948. After a long period of playing concerts in the Szczecin City Hall, construction of a spectacular five-storey concert hall with around 1,000 seats began in 2011. The Spanish-Italian architects Alberto Veiga and Fabrizio Barozzi provided the sensational design – which won the Mies van der Rohe Award, among others – while Hager contributed its excellent building technology.
