Celebrating our cultural diversity
21st May 2021 is the United Nations World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue & Development
You might be asking yourself why we mark United Nations’ International Days?
International days and weeks are occasions to educate & inform ourselves on issues of global concern and also a way to celebrate & reinforce some of our many achievements. This day in particular provides us with an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the value of cultural diversity.
What is special about cultural diversity and why does it matter?
Diversity incorporates everything that makes people unique and is a powerful enabler of business performance.
According to the United Nations:
“Cultural diversity is a driving force of development, not only with respect to economic growth, but also as a means of leading a more fulfilling intellectual, emotional and moral life. Cultural diversity is thus an asset that is indispensable for poverty reduction and the achievement of sustainable development.”

To achieve success diversity is approached from four different angles in all we do, one of these angles is our multicultural approach, in other words – diversity. Indeed, we work in an increasingly international environment with colleagues from all over the world. Transversal projects and processes throughout the group necessitate a better understanding of our cultural & linguistic differences.
Hager Group boasts a highly diverse workforce; we are present in over 120 countries and our workforce is made up of people with over 70 nationalities and a huge range of cultural backgrounds, languages and lifestyles.
