Hager Group at European “INSPIRE” Forum

Initially scheduled to take place at Hager Forum, the European "INSPIRE" Forum, which brings together innovation management professionals every year, was held in a digital version on October 8th, around the theme of open innovation.

During this 2020 edition, which was somewhat unusual because of the health context, innovation managers from different horizons met virtually and exchanged views on the subject of open innovation, sustainable development and innovation, or innovation and management of partner relations.

Friendly reminder : what is open innovation ?
Open innovation corresponds to all innovation processes based on sharing, collaboration and the involvement of third parties external to the organisation in innovation processes. The notion of open innovation therefore implies that in its processes the company is no longer closed in on itself, but on the contrary opens up to other external players. It finds application in all fields of the company.

The moments of sharing such as the "INSPIRE European" Innovation Forum are therefore very important in the acceleration and management of innovation.

Open innovation without borders

Around fifty participants, all customers or prospects of HYPE Innovation tools (software and services for managing a collaborative innovation ecosystem), brought their vision of open innovation. More than 7 countries were represented with France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Morocco and the United Kingdom.

In addition to the international scope, the richness of this event also resided in the different sectors present: industry, auditing, consumer goods and the luxury goods industry.

This diversity underlines the extent to which innovation and its implementation in companies are universal and essential to cope with the changes that are ahead of us.

Hager Group, more than just a participant

For several years now, the "Ideation & Business Value" team of the Corporate Strategy department of Hager Group, represented by Florence Chollet and Christophe Duvernelle, has been taking part in these moments of exchange of best practices and networking.

This is an opportunity for our colleagues to assess the degree of maturity of Hager Group in relation to other companies that innovate, and position Hager Group as a key actor on such topics. It is also a privileged moment of inspiration between professionals in the field.

For the 2020 edition, they went further and actively participated in the elaboration of the agenda and the choice of themes for the conferences and round tables.  And they now hope to be able to physically host the 2021 edition at the Hager Forum!

Generating and developing ideas

As a supplier of innovation solutions and tools, HYPE Innovation is a real partner that helps us, through its products and its network, to go further.

The latest example to date? The " COVID-19 Innovation Challenge " which took place in April 2020 and allowed many employees to submit ideas to emerge stronger from he crisis. This good idea was shared within the framework of the HYPE Innovation network, and could be implemented in different companies simultaneously, for a greater global impact.
