Grand Mercure Hanoi

The Grand Mercure Hanoi is a premier international hotel located in the historic district of Hanoi, Vietnam. It features 181 guest rooms and suites, spread across 16 floors, and offers guests an all-encompassing experience and comfortable stay in the authentic Vietnamese culture with a sense of contemporary chic. The hotel is owned and operated by Accor, one of the world's leading hotel groups.

Setting a high standard for electrical safety

This project was the third cooperation between Hager and Accor. Throughout the whole project, Hager Singapore’s sales representatives in Vietnam worked closely with the electrical installer, to meet the standards expected of an upscale hotel for business and leisure.

Hager's range of MCCBs, MCBs, Contactors, and Enclosures were chosen for this project due to the established reputation for quality, reliability, and close customer relations. Hager products set a high standard for electrical safety in the project, ensuring that the electrical systems in the hotel were reliable, efficient and safe.

The project faced some challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. The hotel opening, scheduled for 2020, had to be delayed due to the pandemic. When the hotel was finally ready to open, some of the electrical equipment was not working properly due to the prolonged shutdown. However, all Hager equipment was in excellent working condition, demonstrating its reliability and durability.

During the pandemic, the Hager team faced challenges in delivering some products due to the lockdowns and travel restrictions. Nevertheless, the team worked tirelessly to coordinate with the panel builder for testing and commissioning at the project site, even during the quarantine period.

Building a long-term partnership

The Grand Mercure Hanoi demonstrated the reliability and durability of Hager products in demanding environments. The success of this project led to further cooperation between Hager and Accor.

Hager has already secured the contract for their fourth project, which is an office class A project. The project will use a range of Hager products, including MCCBs, MCBs, RCBOs, and Wiring Accessories. Additionally, there are two more 5-star hotel projects in the pipeline.

This continued partnership with Accor for future projects attests to the trust and satisfaction of the hospitality industry in Hager's solutions and services.
