Hager electrical solutions were selected to support the expansion and modernisation of the legendary Stade de la Meinau, home of Racing Club de Strasbourg.
An ambitious, large-scale and sustainable project
In response to today’s environmental, urban and sporting challenges, the Stade de la Meinau has been transformed into a modern arena, expanding its capacity from 26,000 to 32,000 seats while following a sustainable and environmentally respectful approach.

Hager expertise serving performance
In close collaboration with its partners, Hager designed and supplied a tailor-made solution adapted to the complexity and ambition of the new stadium. At the heart of the system lies a 12-metre main switchboard integrating 4 TGBT 2500 A panels, 12 ACBs and 80 secondary panels, complemented by 10,000 wiring accessories installed throughout the site
Together, these systems form a safe and high-performance infrastructure ensuring energy distribution for lighting, safety systems, media facilities, hospitality areas and all match-day operations.
An agile and collaborative project
Beyond its technical achievement, the Stade de la Meinau project stands out for its collaborative organisation and strong local roots. To meet the project’s ambitious requirements, Hager joined the ELSA consortium, made up of five Alsatian companies – a virtuous model that supports local employment, reduces carbon-intensive transport and strengthens regional know-how over the long term.
For Hager, this project also represents a major milestone. With over 40 years of continuous innovation, the group now brings its expertise in complex infrastructures (stadiums, retail hubs, logistics platforms…) to one of the region’s most iconic public venues.
