More than enough has been described about the possibilities and technical features of electric vehicles. Of course, the disadvantages of charging itself or the lack of charging stations have also been discussed. But progress cannot be stopped and electric cars are slowly becoming part of our lives, which is why developers, construction companies and powerful private companies have started to take them into account in their considerations. Today, you would be hard pressed to find a new construction project that doesn't include an EV charging infrastructure. And Renocar, a BMW dealer, has also recently decided to retrofit its selected branches with stand-alone charging stations.

A total of 13 witty park charging stations for both electric and Plug in Hybrid vehicles were delivered  with outdoor switchboards by Hager Electro to Renocar's branches in Brno and Prague. The 2 x 22 kW AC chargers allow for comfortable charging of serviced cars, rental cars, demo cars and cars of customers from the general public. The installation also included the supply of new Hager outdoor switchboards to power and control the charging stations.

Hager witty charging stations

The new Hager witty charging stations enable powerful charging in single-phase or three-phase versions, with current up to 32 A. They are available as wall-mounted modules or stand-alone. Four different high-tech charging cables are available for connecting a conventional vehicle. The witty charging stations are ideal for use in family homes as well as in businesses, shopping malls or other public places.

Protection against "unauthorized charging" at free-access stations is ensured by the witty chargers thanks to the integrated RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) function. If necessary, an authorized person can unlock the charging station and prepare it for charging the electric vehicle. This is done by identifying the authorised person by attaching an RFID card.
