Hager Group makes Germany’s “Best Employer 2021” rankings for the eighth consecutive year

In February 2021, Germany’s Focus magazine published rankings of the best employers in the country. Hager Group came 144th out of 1,000 employers selected from almost 1 million employers in Germany and was ranked fifth in the Electricity sector.

Who carried out the study?
Focus-Business magazine in cooperation with Kununu, the employer assessment platform.

What were the selection criteria?
In order to be selected, a company had to have:

•          an overall average score on Kununu of at least 3.0 points (on a scale of 1 to 5)
•          a total of at least 50 opinions, 10 of them since 2019
•          an operation in Germany and at least 500 employees
•          a recommendation rate of at least 60%

More than 950,000 companies and over four million assessments by employees on the Kununu web platform were analysed to identify the 1,300 companies that met the selection criteria and to give recognition to 1,000 of them.

What set the Hager Group apart?
81% of our employees in Germany recommended Hager Group and we obtained an overall score of 4.1/5. The four criteria used to determine the choice were:

- careers and remuneration
- corporate culture
- working conditions/our Corporate Social Responsibility policy
- diversity
We gained at least 4/5 for each of these criteria. The most highly appreciated cultural factors were our contribution to long-term success, community spirit and customer orientation.

Crisis management achieved an even higher score (85%), with particular mention being made of good decisions taken to ensure the health and well-being of our staff.

Why are these awards so important?
