E3/DC honoured with German Design Award 2023

With the design award winning S10 X COMPACT domestic power plant E3/DC has shown how a new type of construction can optimise a proven product.

The slim version of the intelligent solar power storage system S10 X is particularly suitable for narrow technical rooms. The. New design facilitates transport and installation - without sacrificing functionality. The German Design Award 2023 honoured Hager Group’s E3/DC brand with the "Special Mention" award. The awards will be presented next February.

For E3/DC, it is the second award of this kind: in 2017, the S10 MINI home power plant was recognised as a product that, according to the jury, "impressively reflects the technical demand for performance, quality and reliability in its clear design". The jury's "Special Mention" in the current competition is for a highly developed storage system that makes solar power efficiently usable in the household, in heat supply and in mobility. The special feature of the S10 X COMPACT: it brings the high functionality of the home power plant into single-family homes, where space in the technical room is often very limited. "We are very pleased to receive our second design award for the S10 X COMPACT, which recognises our intensive development work on the product series, particularly with regard to design and functional aspects," emphasises Petra Richter, Marketing Director of the Hager Energy business unit.

For ten years, the jury of the German Design Award has seen its task as discovering significant design trends and making them known to a broad public through the competition. Each year, nominations and awards are given for convincing design achievements in the fields of product design, communication design and architecture.
