Building bridges: Sabine Busse starts off Franco-German business dialogues at Hager Group
22 October 2024
Hager Group welcomed the Franco-German Upper Rhine Business Club, the Baden Industrial Association (wvib Schwarzwald AG) and the Badische Zeitung newspaper to Obernai for Franco-German business dialogues. At the forum, representatives from business and politics discussed the general conditions and growth prospects for the region.
Sabine Busse, CEO of Hager Group, emphasised the importance of Franco-German cooperation: ‘The diversity of perspectives and cultures helps us to grow worldwide and overcome the challenges of an increasingly complex market.’
Since the opening of the first French site in Obernai in 1959, Hager Group can look back on a long tradition of co-operation between the two countries. However, the importance of international co-operation for Hager Group goes beyond the Franco-German axis.
Today, the international orientation of the company with around 13,000 employees is a key factor for growth and success. Hager sells products and solutions in over 100 countries.
Bert Sutter, President of Baden Industrial Association emphasised: ‘You have to cultivate relationships. You can only do that if you talk to each other.’
The event served as a platform for exchange on topics such as digitalisation, sustainability and the development of the cross-border labour market.
Hager Group would like to thank all participants and looks forward to continuing the dialogue to strengthen Franco-German and international cooperation.
