Hager Group scores in the HappyIndex Trainees label
Company among Top 10 of French companies for internship or work and study experience
We are delighted to announce that at our very first participation, Hager Group was ranked among the top 10 companies in the French HappyIndex® Trainees.
This special label is awarded by students themselves who assign scores to their companies, which makes us especially proud of our 9th place in the category of companies working with 100-200 trainees and apprentices.
This HappyIndex® Trainees reputation survey, established by the choosemycompany.com website, aims to reflect the reality of the experience of trainees and apprentices. Six criteria are considered: professional progress, work environment, management, motivation, pride, fun and pleasure.
Each year, Hager Group welcomes around 200 trainees and apprentices, including 120 in France, from various training courses and sectors for assignments lasting four to six months on average. "With the 'HappyIndex® Trainees' label, we are reaping the rewards of a sustained policy of inducing and integrating students," says Armelle Quentel, HR Development Manager for France at Hager Group.
Internships: the beginning of a journey
This survey reflects our determination to make trainees and apprentices feel welcome and to integrate them effectively. The support provided by our tutors and teams, the transparency of our recruitment process and the fact that we give them a real mission to serve our company all contributed to our ranking.
"Students want to experience an internship which really has content and means something. Therefore, they rightly demand a lot and have specific requirements”, explains Armelle Quentel. “We meet these expectations by giving them real responsibilities and quality assignments. They are in contact with the Group's experts and encouraged to come up with new solutions. This positive experience is decisive for them and for the company. It also helps to prepare young people for possible future employment".
Learning and growing together
"Welcoming a trainee for several months is like tracing a path with him or her, setting milestones over time and conceiving of projects. It is a good way for the company to build a future together with those who come next. Our management policy also benefits from being closer to the expectations and demands of the new generation," adds Quentel.
"Young people also bring a lot to us. They come with new energy and challenge us to re-think our practices. Their integration sounds like a challenge, and it does challenge the existing teams. But we learn and grow together; we are deeply convinced that our company and our employees can only grow together" concludes Armelle Quentel.
Thank you to the 80 interns and work-study students who gave us this great recognition, to all our HR teams and to our tutors for their daily commitment.
