C-Level Event in Blieskastel:
What does sustainable resilience mean for Hager Group?
20. November 2024
On November 15, 2024, in collaboration with East Side Fab in Saarbrücken, we hosted a C-Level event at our Blieskastel site. During this strategic exchange, Hager Group colleagues engaged with leaders from business and politics on the theme of "Resilience and Innovation as Keys to Sustainable Growth."
Building sustainable development together
As a partner of East Side Fab, an innovation leader in Saarland, we are committed to participating in and contributing to innovative development processes across our region. Regular exchanges with other businesses, industry experts, and policymakers provide valuable insights into how we can strengthen resilience within our strategy through collaboration. How can we work together to shape sustainable growth?
Sustainable resilience at Hager Group
At the event, Jeanne Forget, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, explained what sustainable resilience means for the Hager Group:
“Sustainable resilience for us means responding swiftly and effectively to crises while keeping our long-term goals and core values front and center. It’s about balancing agility with stability: Adaptability is key, but our guiding values remain our foundation. Sustainable resilience enables us not only to prepare for challenges but to seize the opportunities that come with change and innovation.”
Our Project 2030, focusing on sustainability and digital transformation, also provides a foundation for resilience. Since 2020, we have increased our revenue by 30% and reduced our CO2 emissions, demonstrating how digital end-to-end processes and sustainability initiatives make us more resilient.
The importance of collaboration
The speakers, including Saarland’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy, Jürgen Barke, emphasized that resilient growth relies on strong partnerships. Key collaborative approaches include:
- Public-Private Partnerships (PPP): Enabling large-scale projects in infrastructure, climate adaptation, and digital transformation.
- Regulatory Collaboration: Working with policymakers to create supportive frameworks and incentives for sustainable action.
- Research and Development (R&D): Joint R&D initiatives with governmental and academic partners foster innovation and strengthen resilience.
Measuring and Securing Resilience
Participants agreed that resilience must be continuously measured and optimized, with important indicators such as CO2 reduction and supply chain stability. Sustainable resilience is not a one-time goal but an ongoing commitment.
This event, held in partnership with East Side Fab, reinforced our shared commitment to a resilient and sustainable future. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event!
