The Hager Group brand E3/DC has joined forces with inexogy, a competitive metering service provider, to accelerate the digital transformation of the electricity grid. 

The partnership aims to facilitate the integration of renewable energy while giving customers access to dynamic electricity tariffs and grid-friendly features. 

Starting in Q1 2025, new E3/DC customers will have the option to install an intelligent metering system. This system is a prerequisite for key grid-supportive functionalities of a PV storage system: dynamic electricity tariffs, direct energy trading, and regulatory compliance under §14a EnWG, all of which require digital communication with grid operators and the energy market. 

The co-operation offers numerous advantages for customers: 

Direct Access to Dynamic Electricity Tariffs: E3/DC’s home power plants can respond to price signals, allowing flexible use of home storage systems, electric vehicles, and heat pumps. 

Seamless Integration into the Digital Energy Market: The intelligent metering system enables participation in direct energy trading, maximizing energy efficiency. 

Independence from Traditional Metering Service Providers: Thanks to the partnership with inexogy, customers can immediately take advantage of their digital metering system without waiting for the standard rollout.
