PERSPECTIVES Festival in Saarbrücken

Art and culture are a part of quality of life. The interaction with literature, theater, music and art is a reflection of society. This is precisely why the Peter and Luise Hager Foundation has been sponsoring the PERSPECTIVES Festival for several years.

The German-French Festival of Stage Art PERSPECTIVES is the only German-French cultural festival dedicated to German- and French-language stage art to the same extent. Started in 1978 as an experiment, it is still unique today and promotes the exchange of nations. It is ideally located at the crossroads of the three countries France, Germany and Luxembourg. In the meantime, up to 30,000 spectators visit the festival in Saarbrücken every year, because word has already spread about its diverse, bilingual and creative charm.

Each year, PERSPECTIVES presents a diverse program with high artistic standards, including events from theater, dance and new circus. The festival's unusual venues, such as former industrial sites, public squares and streets, also shape the unique festival atmosphere. It has been run by the Foundation for Franco-German Cultural Cooperation since 2007.

The 45th edition of the PERSPECTIVES Festival is scheduled to take place from May 25 to June 3, 2023.
