Installing the future

Our innovations drive the ongoing development of key components for energy management, such as distribution cabinets, charging stations for electric vehicles, control units and related software.

Tomorrow’s electric world is networked

In the future, we will network intelligent buildings with smart power grids to form comprehensive connectivity in a decentralised energy system. When these systems use energy, it will be more focussed, efficient and environmentally friendly. We are not only conducting research on all these topics ourselves, but also helping to guide research in scientific committees.

E3/DC

With E3/DC energy storage systems, users become more independent of the power grid, increasing their security of supply and cost transparency. Self-generated electricity from a photovoltaic system is stored and used intelligently depending on supply and demand.

Bidirectional charging

With bidirectional charging, electric car batteries can provide mobile energy storage and become an important part of an environmentally sustainable future.

Hager Group invests in research project on e-mobility

Hager Group and Audi AG are pushing research on bidirectional charging to find the best ways of using electric vehicle batteries to store self-generated energy.

Intelligent energy management

Energy efficiency and energy savings start with knowing where and when energy is needed – and what for. The Hager Group offers all the resources you need to get this information: intelligent energy meters, open data interfaces and clear visualisation of consumption. As a result, different points of the value chain become interconnected, linking electricity generation (e.g. solar power) to the things that use electricity, such as household appliances, heat pumps, electric vehicles, etc.

Hager Energy: taking an active role in going green

We’re ready to take on one of the great challenges of the transition to a greener future: the storage and distribution of renewable energy.

Technologies for future self-sufficiency

Large electric power plants are on the decline, while decentralised energy production is on the rise. We now have over 2 million "prosumers", i.e. people who not only consume electricity, but also produce. One important technology for the future is bidirectional charging, where home energy storage can be used to charge the battery of an electric vehicle and vice versa. This means that the powerful batteries inside electric vehicles can not only be used to store energy for themselves, but also serve as elementary building blocks of the energy grid. By utilising e-vehicles in this manner, we can tap into an enormous, decentralised storage capacity that is needed for the transition to greener forms of energy.

In other words: we are installing the future.
