An extremely reliable electrical installation

This project for a hospital required an especially secure technical environment which called for an electrical installation which meets a service index of 223.

Once completed, this medical center will be thoroughly modernised, with 10,000 m2 of additional space including 13 operating theatres.

An ambitious project with considerable constraints

A hospital relies on absolutely reliable electricity supply and can be a tricky space. Before any installation could start, we had to consider the particularly rigid technical and space constraints. In phase one of the project, we re-thought the architecture of the entire electrical installation (a BIM project). Sodel, a long-standing partner of Hager, then implemented the new quadro evo cabinet solution, a first in France. They installed a 4000A MDB in IS223, powered by two 2000A transformers, as well as a SDB for the operating theatres, to ensure service continuity in case of need.
