Virtual event on the circular economy

One and only chance: Take part in our “Unbox your mind” event during the European Sustainable Development Week 2022.

In 2021, Hager Group introduced an internal series of events called “Unbox your mind” to encourage professional exchange and inspire positive action. The current season revolves around environmental sustainability and the final edition will focus on the circular economy.

As part of this year’s European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW), we are opening our final edition to external participants as a live event on LinkedIn. Join us to experience the spirit of Hager Group in a hybrid session alongside our employees. And the topic is hot: The need to slow down global warming by reducing CO2 emissions has become inescapable. Every one of us is challenged to reduce waste, mind consumption, and consider the footprint of products. Businesses play a crucial role in this challenge. We need to find ways to get the most out of our resources and be more efficient in order to preserve our environment. The solution cannot be the continuous exploitation of raw materials, while accumulating waste as it has been done over decades. The linear model of “take-make-dispose” has had its day, but is the establishment of a circular economy the answer? And what exactly is a circular economy?

To lead this discussion, we have invited three specialists:

Henri Cuin, Co-founder & Managing Director of eolos GmbH. He leads his company’s "Shift to Circularity" solutions portfolio, which draws on expertise in European environmental regulations, corporate and product carbon footprint and reduction schemes, as well as the circular economy. Based in Berlin, he relies on his 20 years of industrial experience as an engineer and business economist to integrate environmental sustainability into daily business operations.

Pierre-Emmanuel Saint-Esprit, Co-founder of ZACK , a circular economy startup fighting e-waste. ZACK was acquired by the Manutan Group in 2022, where he now serves as Circular Economy Director. He is also the Founder and Executive Director of the ESSEC Global Circular Economy Chair.

Laurène Cuenot, Environmental Expert and Environmental Analysis Officer at ecosystem , a take-back system approved by French authorities to develop and monitor the collection, detoxification and recycling of household and commercial electric and electronic equipment waste in accordance with the EU “WEEE” directive. In addition, she supports companies to improve the recyclability of their products and to integrate recycled materials.

When does it take place and how can you join?

Save our event on LinkedIn and join us on 20 September at 12:15. It’s that easy.

We look forward to having you with us.
