While en route to his 4th Route du Rhum participation, Fabrice Amedeo has had to abandoned after a fire broke out on the boat. We are relieved to know Fabrice safe and sound and we are standing by his side and his team. We are convinced he will bounce back even stronger.
Route du Rhum 2022 – The Hager Group Pursuit
Hager Group and E3DC partnered with Virtual Regatta to create a virtual competition with the same conditions as the skippers.
A unique opportunity to show your courage in racing the legendary transatlantic against virtual skippers from all over the world, win unique prices but also to sail for the science.

The Hager Group Pursuit race was particularly competitive with the first 18 finishers ending the virtual Route du Rhum in the same hour!
A special thumbs up to our champion, Yayatruchampion, who crossed the line in just 11 days, 8 hours and 22 minutes. He won a unique experience, a sailing day with Fabrice Amedeo.
Sailing for the science
For every person who signed up to “The Pursuit”, we made a donation to #OceanCalling fund which aims to collect data at sea to help scientists better understand the impact and consequences of global warming.
The 4,000€ donation will be used to buy two opticals for spectrometers used by Ifremer to analyse the samples collected during the races by Fabrice Amedeo on microplastics measurement campaigns. Thanks to all participants!
